What is the tradition of Henna Night?
Henna Night (‘Kina Gecesi’ in Turkish) is a special gathering for the bride, her family, and her friends a day before the wedding day. The henna dying stands for dedication and devotion. In this occasion, the bride shows her devotion to her new family.
In the henna ceremony, the bride enters the room veiled and sits in the middle of the gathering as a touchy story is sung about a young woman who leaves her family to live with her husband. Henna Night is a warm farewell to the bride’s own family and the home she grew up in, but also a welcoming gesture for her as she is about to be a part of a new family.
P.S.: THIS EVENT IS ONLY FOR LADIES.
