Cooking Class – Saturday, September 14, 2013 – Detroit
We are excited to announce that TASM Women’s Branch is preparing to offer Turkish Cooking Classes in Detroit. This is a perfect opportunity to learn how to make some of your favorite dishes from the Turkish Cuisine. You are cordially invited to register for the upcoming first session to enjoy great food along with a friendly conversation.
Session 1: A Traditional Turkish Dinner
Whether you are looking to host a dinner party guaranteed to have your friends singing your praises for months if not years, or you want to get away from the ordinary and cook something different for your family then try this exciting Turkish feast.
What is on the menu is both mouth pleasing and appealingly easy to prepare:
Red Lentil Soup: A nutritious vegetarian soup that has red lentils as the main ingredient.
Islim Kebab (Steamed Kebab): Turkish Kofte (meatballs) wrapped in eggplant slices.
Cacik: Yogurt and cucumber mezze.
Fee: 10 $ /person (fee can be paid on the event day)
