  On August 23 Central Italy was struck by a magnitude 6.2 earthquake. The quake was felt from Bologna in the north of Italy to Naples in the south. At least 240 people have been killed and hundreds were injured in an earthquake that hit a mountainous area of central Italy, civil protection officials say.
